My name is Eliza Hammer and I am a marathon runner, and professional wrestler.
Here’s a quick timeline of the start of my journey into wrestling and running
It all started with a porkchop
I started performing theatre in high-school in 2011 and enjoyed being in a number of plays including :Spoon River Anthology, The Dining Room and Pride and Prejudice. It wasn’t until I started college, though, that I landed the role in 2016 that would ultimately change my life- Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web. It was through that show that I met my friend and eventual professional wrestling trainer, Scoot Robertson.
2017- Training
During a trip to Folsom Lake with Scoot he mentioned that the Pro-Wrestling school he was involved with was re-opening after a few years of being unable to find a venue in which to hold training. In my mind I was picturing wrestling like I saw in high school as I had never seen real professional wrestling before. It sounded intriguing, though, and like it would fit nicely into my ever ongoing quest to get fit, so I showed up to day one, not thinking much of it beforehand. Pro- wrestling training ended up being the hardest thing I have ever done, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I didn’t know it at the time but wrestling was forging me into the person I would become; a person who could withstand more than I ever thought, and eventually a person who could run multiple marathons.
